Zipolite, located on the Oaxacan coast and just 18 minutes away from Villas Biznaga, is known worldwide as the most famous nudist beach in Mexico. This beach will once again host the Nudist Meeting 2024 (ENNUD). The organizers of this event which will take place from January 31 to February 4, are working hard to provide five unforgettable days for attendees.
Nudism has become a tradition for decades in Playa Zipolite. At the end of the 60’s, a solar eclipse took place and caused hundreds of people to gather on this beach to witness the astronomical event of the decade. After this event, young people influenced by the hippie movement embraced Zipolite as the ideal place to develop their dream lifestyle.
These young people “free” of prejudice swam and sunbathed naked on the beach, so this place soon began to be associated with nudism and it became the first nudist beach in the country. It is worth mentioning that the main objective of this movement is to consolidate the acceptance of the naked body and erase the negative or morbid view of it.
The origins of the Nudist Meeting
Confederation of Nudism. Its objective was to disseminate and position the tourist destination by promoting nudism as a lifestyle, all promoted by Juan Marcos Castañeda, then president of the Nudist Federation of Mexico, and Jair Flores García, president of the Association of Hotels and Motels of Mexico. Zipolite and Conurbados.
Since 2019, the festival has been run by Bi Shieeeladi Festivals and Culture Association and thanks to its promotion the festival achieved an influx of approximately 5,000 people in its last edition.

In this edition of the Nudist Meeting 2024, SILMÉXICO and Villas Biznaga join as official sponsors of the event because of the affinity we share in philosophy with the movement: taking a moment to put aside the hustle and bustle of daily life, reconnect with oneself and prioritize what truly matters.
Another idea that this movement and Villas Biznaga share is to achieve balance between physical, mental and emotional health through contact with natural elements: sun, water, air and earth. Activities to reconnect with oneself such as yoga and meditation are also incorporated.
